Little Chem Chem

Little Chem Chem is located within the Burunge Wildlife Management Area in northern Tanzania. The camp sits between Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park, overlooking the shores of Lake Burunge. This private concession allows for an exclusive safari experience away from the busier national park areas.

The Tarangire ecosystem experiences one of Tanzania’s largest seasonal elephant movements. During the dry season, typically from June to October, large elephant herds migrate toward the permanent waters of the Tarangire River.

During the green season, generally November to May, many elephants disperse across the wider ecosystem, including the Burunge Wildlife Management Area where Little Chem Chem is located.

The area is particularly known for its large elephant herds, including occasional sightings of impressive big tusker bulls. Other wildlife commonly seen includes:
