Spectacular Reteti House is one of our top multigenerational or small group safari recommendations in the wildlife-rich Laikipia Plateau. 

Set on a cliffside to offer exceptional views of the surrounding Namunyak Conservancy, this sole-use lodge is the perfect destination to reconnect with loved ones whilst experiencing one of Kenya’s most prized landscapes. There’s so much to see and do here; from sundowners and bush dinners to community and cultural immersions and excellent game viewing opportunities.  

Unwind amidst soothing neutral tones and natural materials, which have been selected to mirror your surrounds, and enjoy the comforts of four standalone ensuite rooms that boast outdoor showers and private decks. The shared areas include a comfortable sitting room and an infinity pool that overlooks a popular waterhole. 

Keeping in line with its eco-friendly ethos, the house is off the grid, solar-powered and  single-use-plastic free.

Why We Love It:

The wildlife is incredible here but most notably, we love the elephant herds. Through incredible community conservation efforts, over the last 30 years, Namunyak Community Conservancy has become a safe haven for elephant, and is home to Kenya’s second-largest population. Additionally, the lodge is a mere 10-minute walk from Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, where you can gain valuable insight into the extraordinary conservation efforts taking place.
