Sarara Treehouse
Laikipia Plateau, Kenya
Hidden within the mottled shade of a forest glade at the base of Warges Peak, in the wildlife-rich Namunyak Conservancy, is the lovely Sarara Treehouse.
One of our favorite destinations within the Laikipia Plateau region, this beautiful treehouse boasts just eight elegant tents that are raised on wooden platforms into the forest canopy. Unpretentious yet boasting all the amenities you could wish for, the tents feature a lovely ensuite bathroom and a private veranda. We love the fact that the wildlife roam freely under the platforms, including elephant and buffalo.
The camp is off the grid, relying on solar power to heat showers. It is also single-use-plastic free and entirely eco friendly, with every precaution and expense taken to preserve the natural habitat surrounding it. This all said, you will want for nothing here. The main guest areas include a dining area and refreshing swimming pool. Expect mouth-watering menus and warm, local hospitality.
