In a secluded section of the world-famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Savanna Lodge lies in an area where Big Five sightings are almost a given on game drives. Here, nine elegantly appointed suites make a distinct nod to the romance of safaris of old.

We love being spoilt for choice, and at Savanna that’s no exception. You can choose from three suite types. The Savanna Suite (ideal for families with younger children), which offers a private plunge pool, two large, beautifully furnished bedrooms that lie on either side of an interconnecting lounge. Oh, and to top it all off, it also comes with a butler and a private game viewing vehicle with dedicated ranger and tracker. Alternatively, choose between the Executive Suite and Luxury Suite, slightly different in their configuration but both are set under canvas roofs, allowing you to feel closer to nature, and offer private plunge pools. The main guest areas include comfortable sitting areas, a boutique shop, fitness center and a main pool that overlooks lush gardens and floodlit waterhole.

Why We Love It:

The waterhole in front of the lodge offers the opportunity to do a spot of game viewing without even leaving the property. It is very popular with the reserve’s resident wildlife and guests have often been treated to wonderful sightings.
