Mount Kenya stands vigil over the pristine grasslands of the Laikipia Plateau, the home of Segera Retreat, a fantastic property that juts from the landscape as an oasis of luxury in one of our favorite Kenya wildlife destinations. 

We love the selection of accommodation options at Segera that range from luxurious garden villas to the spectacular Greenhouse (a two-roomed, botanical-themed suite), the Farmhouse (the original ranch house, with three ensuite rooms), the Garden House (a two-bedroomed, double-storey house – complete with a kitchen and a double daybed for sleepouts), the lovely Villa Segera, which boasts two master suites in two separate buildings that are linked by a suspended walkway; and finally, the double storey, three-roomed Segera House – a luxurious haven for families or small groups. 

Throughout, Segera has carefully selected the decor and furnishings to ensure each accommodation option is unique. Artworks and paintings are from Africa’s most inspiring artists from The Zeitz Collection.
