Singita Sabora FAQs

Where is Singita Sabora Tented Camp located within the Serengeti?

Singita Sabora Tented Camp is located within the 350,000-acre private Singita Grumeti Reserve, which borders the western sector of the Serengeti National Park. It forms part of the greater Serengeti–Mara ecosystem and sits along the annual Great Migration route.

Its location within a private reserve allows for very few vehicles and a more exclusive wildlife-viewing experience, while still keeping guests deeply connected to the wider Serengeti ecosystem.

Is Singita Sabora a good camp for viewing the Great Migration?

Yes. Sabora is exceptionally well positioned for the Great Migration, particularly from May to July, when large herds typically move through the western corridor of the Serengeti.

You’ll enjoy front-row wildlife viewing with very few other vehicles in sight, thanks to the private nature of the Singita Grumeti Reserve. The exact timing of the herds varies each year depending on rainfall and grazing conditions.

What is included in a stay at Singita Sabora Tented Camp?

A stay at Singita Sabora Tented Camp includes luxury tented accommodation, all meals and beverages, including premium wines, spirits and liqueurs, twice-daily game drives, return road transfers from Sasakwa airstrip, laundry service and Wi-Fi.

Guests also have full use of their private meditation deck, in-room fitness area and pantry, as well as the camp’s swimming pool and wellness facilities.

Hot-air balloon safaris, wellness treatments and other additional activities are not included and can be arranged separately through your Ubuntu Travel specialist.

How many nights should I stay at Singita Sabora Tented Camp?

We generally recommend spending three nights at Singita Sabora Tented Camp. This gives you enough time for multiple game drives, a guided walk, and time to enjoy the camp itself without feeling rushed.

Three nights also works particularly well if Sabora is being combined with another lodge elsewhere in the Serengeti, giving you a contrasting experience while keeping the overall journey at a comfortable pace.

Is Singita Sabora Tented Camp good for honeymooners?

Yes. Singita Sabora Tented Camp is an excellent choice for honeymooners looking for privacy, romance and a contemporary tented safari experience in the Serengeti.

With just nine suites, private outdoor salas, meditation decks and very few other vehicles in the surrounding Grumeti Reserve, the camp feels intimate and secluded. In-suite dining, wellness treatments and the relaxed Guest Deli experience also make it easy to slow down and enjoy time together between game drives.
