Spend time on the beach, or take a scenic day trip around the Cape Peninsula to visit the famous African penguins at Boulders Beach.

For active travelers, hike Lion’s Head for panoramic views of the city and Table Mountain. At Cape Point, look for ostrich, eland, bontebok, and historic shipwrecks along the coastal trails. You can also sea kayak off the Sea Point promenade, where Heaviside’s dolphins are often seen swimming close by.
