Mababe Depression

It is not uncommon to witness buffalo herds so huge that they reach as far as the horizon or large prides of lion stalking sizeable herds of plains game.The region also experiences the Annual Zebra Migration, where a dazzling sight of thousands upon thousands of zebra a drawn to the region’s nutrient-rich grasslands.
During summer, the marsh fills to create a sparkling wetland that spans some 6,400 acres, and then slowly (but not completely) drains during the winter months. In addition to the wetland, you will find lush grasslands and beautiful mopane woodlands.
