Victoria Falls | Zimbabwe

Locally known as Mosi-Oa-Tunya – “the smoke that thunders”- Victoria Falls is the world’s largest curtain of falling water. Seeing, hearing, and feeling its power is something your family will never forget.

This is Africa’s adventure capital. Fly above the falls, try white-water rafting, go bungee jumping, or visit Devil’s Pool at the waterfall’s edge. For something slower, enjoy canoeing, fishing, or sunset cruises on the Zambezi River.

Back at the lodge, relax by the pool or unwind in the spa and gym. Whether you’re chasing thrills or sipping sundowners, Victoria Falls is the perfect family finale.

Hwange National Park

Covering approximately 3.5 million acres, Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe’s oldest and largest national park and one of Southern Africa’s most important conservation areas. It is home to Africa’s second-largest elephant population, estimated at around 40,000 elephants.

During the summer months, the south-eastern region of Hwange, known as the Ngamo Plains, offers outstanding game viewing. Often referred to as the Serengeti of Hwange, these open grasslands attract large herds of wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, waterbuck, and buffalo. Predators including lion, cheetah, wild dog, and leopard follow closely, creating excellent opportunities for dramatic wildlife sightings.

Lake Kariba at Bumi Hills

Set on a private concession overlooking the tranquil waters of Lake Kariba, Bumi Hills Safari Lodge offers a rare combination of lake and safari experiences in one of Zimbabwe’s most remote regions. Lake Kariba is the fourth-largest man-made lake in the world and the second largest in Africa.

The shoreline attracts abundant wildlife, with elephants and buffalo gathering at the water’s edge and resident prides of lions patrolling nearby. Close to Matusadona National Park, the area allows animals to move freely, creating a quiet and uncrowded safari environment. Activities include walking safaris, boat cruises, birding, and game drives, with time to relax at the iconic infinity pool overlooking the lake.

Mana Pools National Park

Seasonal Note: From December to April, Mana Pools National Park is largely closed due to the rainy season, as access becomes difficult and most lodges shut. For the best experience, visits are recommended from mid-April onwards when conditions improve.

Set along the southern banks of the Zambezi River in the Zambezi Valley, Mana Pools is renowned for its raw wilderness and intimate safari experiences. Early morning walking safaris explore the riverbanks and ancient mopane forests in search of buffalo herds, elephant bulls, and occasionally wild dogs. Canoe and motorboat safaris on the Zambezi offer a unique and immersive way to experience this remarkable landscape.
