Staying in luxury tented camps positioned in anticipation of the herds, you are immersed in the movement and rhythm of the migration. Scan the plains for vast columns of wildebeest and zebra, then focus closer on the predators that follow, including cheetah, lions, jackals and crocodiles at the river crossings.

Arusha Coffee Lodge
As the gateway to Mount Kilimanjaro and Tanzania’s northern safari circuit, Arusha is the natural starting point for an East Africa adventure.
Arusha Coffee Lodge is set within one of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantations, beneath the slopes of Mount Meru. Surrounded by gardens and working coffee fields, it offers a relaxed and restorative stop before heading out on safari.
We highly recommend a visit to Shanga, a glass and weaving workshop that supports and empowers people with disabilities. Other optional activities include a bean to cup coffee tour, exploring Arusha National Park, or visiting the Tanzanite Museum.
Greystoke Mahale | Chimpanzee Trekking
Set along the white sands of Lake Tanganyika in western Tanzania, Greystoke Mahale offers one of Africa’s most immersive chimpanzee trekking experiences, deep within the remote Mahale Mountains National Park.
Widely regarded as one of the finest places to observe wild chimpanzees, the surrounding forest is also a place of calm and contrast. Between treks, explore shaded forest trails, cool off at hidden waterfalls, or visit secluded rock pools tucked into the mountainside.
The lodge itself is intentionally intimate, with just six thatched bandas, each featuring a private upstairs viewing deck overlooking the lake. When not trekking, guests can kayak along the shoreline or sail on a traditional dhow, soaking in the stillness of this remarkably untouched corner of East Africa.
Serengeti National Park | Luxury Mobile Camps
Luxury mobile camps offer one of the most immersive ways to experience the Great Wildebeest Migration. These elegant tented camps relocate several times throughout the year, carefully positioned to follow the movement of the herds and place you as close as possible to the action.
The Great Wildebeest Migration is a year-round natural cycle, with around 1.5 million wildebeest joined by vast herds of zebra, gazelles and eland moving across the Serengeti in search of fresh grazing. Staying in a luxury mobile camp allows you to experience this phenomenon in its purest form, combining front-row wildlife encounters with the understated comfort and intimacy of a classic safari camp.
Masai Mara | Kenya
The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most iconic safari destination. Its wide grassy plains and year-round wildlife make it ideal for a family safari.
Start your day with a sunrise hot-air balloon ride over the Mara. Adults can toast the view with a champagne breakfast while the kids enjoy the thrill of the flight. Later, take the family on a cultural visit to a Maasai village and learn about their way of life.
Between July and October, the Great Migration brings nearly 2 million wildebeest and zebra into the Mara. Witness dramatic river crossings and unforgettable wildlife action.
